What better way to start off Europe‘s biggest computer and video games fair than with a top-class video game symphony orchestra from the Video Games Live concert? This concert will kick off the start of the Games Convention 2008 event, which will be held at the Arena Leipzig in Germany this August 20.
The Video Game Live Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by Jack Wall and will even feature American star pianist Martin Leung. Some of you may remember Leung for his exceptional performances of well-known game melodies such as Earthworm Jim, Zelda and Final Fantasy, as well as his one performance where he played the Super Mario title song blindfolded.
The concert promises to be a night full of music and other visual pleasures. Scenes from various games will also be shown on a giant screen as the VGL Symphony Orchestra plays in the background.
Jack Wall explained that there will also be other interactive elements to be featured during the concert to help immerse the audience in the entire gamer experience. An onstage interactive game competition, a laser show, and the appearance of many well-known game characters will be the highlights of the evening.
