Warhammer Online lore: on the history and state of Praag

For a city that lives nearest to the northern portion of the Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning world than any other city, you’d expect its story to be full of conflict  and strife, right?

That’s not exactly far from the truth. EA Mythic takes us through the history of the Kislev city of Praag right after the jump.

“The Cursed City” – not exactly a nickname you’d want for your city, now is it? Then again, residents of the city of Praag in EA Mythic‘s Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (WAR) have had to live with that nickname, given their rather unfortunate story.

The problem has to do with Praag’s location – of all the cities of the Old World in WAR, Praag’s proximity to the northern regions make it a prime target for invasion by the Chaos Warhost.

In fact, it seems that Praag will again be the center of attention during the Age of Reckoning, as the powerful Daemon Souleater, once imprisoned, has now been released from its crystalline prison by the forces of Chaos in order to wreak havoc upon the WAR world once more.

The Armies of Order know that, while Souleater has been weakened from its imprisonment over the millenia, it is slowly regaining its strength as it feeds upon the suffering of mortals. Thus the Empire’s forces have swiftly convened at Praag, where they hope to defeat the Daemon before it regains its full strength.
