WayForward Technologies has sent a press wire announcing its upcoming title for the WiiWare service, titled LIT. The game will be a 3D horror puzzler, where the player is cast in the role of Jake, a teenager trapped in a high school that’s become infested with monsters.

Your job is to guide Jake and his girlfriend, Rachel, as they try to escape the school. It won’t be easy – Jake’s only contact with Rachel for a good part of the game will be via the school’s phones.

Then there’s the environmental puzzles that you’ll need to solve, and the boss battles you’ll need to survive. Game Director Adam Tierny had this to say regarding this upcoming game:

We decided to make it an action-puzzler because of how infrequently horror and puzzling gets combined in games, and to squeeze out the greatest amount of gameplay possible from a limited file size.

WayForward has yet to set a price point or release date for LIT. That, and we’re still waiting for the confirmation of Shantae’s foray into WiiWare. We’ll let you know if any new details are released.
