InFeCtuS2 and ARGON to get new firmware
The firmware development arena seems to be in a constant state of flux. Case in point: the InFeCtuS team has announced the development of new firmware for the ARGON and the InFeCtuS modchips.

It seems that the InFeCtuS Team has hard at work lately. The team is reportedly working on new firmware that will sport a host of cool functions. These functions will support both the ARGON and the InFeCtuS modchips for the Nintendo Wii.
According to the InFeCtuS Team, these are some of the functions of the upcoming firmware:
- Supports all chipset versions: DMS, D2A, D2B and D2C (including D1A)
- ONLY 9+1(clock) WIRES on D2C
- ONLY 5+1(clock) WIRES on DMS, D2A, D2B
- On-board flash (512 KB for INFECTUS2, 256KB for ARGON)
With regards to the on-board flash mentioned above, the InFeCtuS team says that old users can install the flash on ARGON without any problems. Furthermore, the new ARGON will reportedly arrive on the week of the March 24. The team will have the SPI FLASH on board in the future, which will cost around US$ 0.5.
