With the recent release of the latest patch of Flying Lab Software‘s Pirates of the Burning Sea, some players have been experiencing problems fully downloading the new content for the game. Fortunately, PotBS Community Envoy Aether has outlined some workarounds to get the new patch running on your system.
Should any players experience problems such as being unable to see a server list upon launch or being unable to launch altogether, Aether suggested that a full scan be performed via the PotBS LaunchPad. This should complete any missing updates to your client and allow your game to run smoothly.
Here are the steps on how to run the full scan through the game’s LaunchPad:
- Run the LaunchPad
- Click the [Detail] button near the upper left next to the download progress
- Click the [Full Scan] button. [Full Scan] will be disabled until you actually stop the download by hitting Cancel. There is a tiny button to do this under the progress bar.
- Watch the files be scanned
- Try downloading the client again
We hope we were able to help with any problems you’ve been experiencing. In any case, enjoy a hitch free time sailing the high seas with the latest patch of Pirates of the Burning Sea.
