Palm’s Treo 700W Bug
The people at Palm have discovered a bug in there Treo 700w. The bug makes some Calendar appointments appear one hour earlier and device displays incorrect time after Daylight Savings Time begins. For example if you have a appointment for 10.00am Monday it might show as 9.00am Monday. Also it may show at 9.00am Monday in your Outlook for your desktop PC.
Palm has come up with some steps to get around this problem but they must be completed after Daylight savings which 2 am the first Sunday in April.
First take the battery out of the back of your smartphone. Than quickly replace the battery and the back door. You will hear your smartphone radio turn on automatically. If your radio does not turn on automatically press and hold the power/end button until you here the ascending tones that indicate the radio is on.
This will make the appointments in outlook appear fine now but your smartphone will still appear wrong..

To turn off Network Time:
1.On your smartphone, press Start
2.Select Settings.
3.Select the System tab at the bottom.
4.Select Clock & Alarms.
5.Select the More tab at the bottom.
6.Uncheck the box for “Enable local network time.”
7.Select the Time tab at the bottom, and confirm that the Home time is correct.
8.Note: Whenever you reset your device, you will be prompted with a screen offering you the option to turn on Network Time. Do not check the box for “Enable local network time.”
