Simply can’t get enough of Star Wars? Well, Space1‘s entry for the NeoFlash Spring Competition 08 might be what you’ve been yearning for. Star Wars Battles is pretty much based on the famous Battleship board game, except it takes place in the vast universe of Star Wars.

The game is simple and straightforward. If you check out the screenshot on the upper right, that’s how the actual game looks like. You set your pieces below and your enemy’s pieces are on top. Now, with everything set, it’s time to guess the spots and blow your enemies away.

What’s notable about this game is that when you do hit an enemy space that has a ship, you will have to engage yourselves with a top-down dog-fight shooter battle. With this, there’s a chance that you could actually lose the fight or vice-versa. This little feature is surely going to get you guys on the edge of your seats.
