Retailers have been dropping HD DVD so eagerly lately that this massive Blu-ray blowout comes as a bit of a surprise. JR.com is offering Blu-ray movies as low as US$ 7.99. The most expensive ones in the blowout can be checked out at 13.99 bucks tops. Yeah, some of the movies are old classics, but they’re the good kind of old classics. Some may find it a bit early for retailers to offer discounts for their Blu-ray discs, especially since HD DVD is still crashing like a sugar rush gone bad, but who are we to complain when things are offered for cheap?
This latest Blu-ray deal comes from JR.com, which is offering Blu-ray movies for as low as US$ 7.99. The most expensive ones in their pile are going for US$ 13.99. Sure, some of the movies are old classics, but they’re the good kind of old classics.
The oldest one in the bunch is First Blood, the one starring Sylvester Stallone. The latest movies in the pile are from last year (but they’re the ones that go for US$ 13.99). Still, a deal’s a deal right? And a cheap hi-def movie is a cheap hi-def movie.
