Entrepreneurs unveil Lynx tourist space ship
If you had the money and the choice to go anywhere you wanted, where would you go? More importantly, would you restrict yourself only to places on the planet? With the new Lynx spacecraft being set for flight tests in 2010, you may wish to consider a tour of space, instead.

If outer space sounds like a good destination to you, you may wish to approach Lynx space rocket”>XCOR Aerospace about that. You see, the organization recently unveiled a new Lynx rocket intended for commercial use sometime in the vague future.
As of now, XCOR Aerospace’s Lynx appears to be the only other commercial spacecraft aside from Virgin Galactic‘s ships. It’s reportedly capable of reaching a maximum speed of Mach 2 and a maximum altitude of 200,000 feet.
The craft runs on liquid oxygen and kerosene. As with all things, there’s a catch. Well, there are several catches, really. Besides the cost of the trip, people will be required to present medical clearance.
They’ll also be asked to undergo proper training before attempting the trip. XCOR’s craft is a two-seater, meaning paying customers will have to line up for their turn to ride. Oh, and don’t expect to any ejection seats on the Lynx, either, should trouble arise in mid-flight.
