Traveler’s Tales on Lego Indiana Jones supporting characters, key scenes
Have you ever wondered how certain key scenes and characters will be treated in Lego Indiana Jones: The Video Game? Wonder no more. Traveller’s Tales associate producer for the game, Kellam Eanes, took the time to explain things in a recent interview.
More on the adventures of the Lego version of this intrepid archaeologist right after the jump.
Will the key scenes from the Indiana Jones movies be featured in the game? What about the various supporting characters from the films? These are just a couple of questions that Indiana Jones fans may have about Traveller’s Tales’ Lego Indiana Jones: The Video Game (PS3, PC, PSP, Xbox 360, Wii, DS). Fortunately, the game’s associate producer, Kellam Eanes, took the time to answer both queries in a recent interview.
According to Eanes, Dr. Jones’ allies will also have their own special abilities to aid them in the adventure. For example, female characters such as Marion Ravenwood and Willie Scott will be able to double jump (Scott has a Black Canary-type scream that shatters glass, too.). Satipo and Sallah will be able to dig up buried objects. Still others can reportedly fix broken machinery and even decipher codes.
What about the scenes that older Indy fans have grown to love? Eanes said that Traveller’s Tales has done its best to capture classic movie scenes in-game. The developer, however, has opted to retell them in a new way. The idea behind the retelling is to appeal to new fans of Lego Indiana Jones: The Video Game and to older fans of the movie series as well.
And in case you’re wondering, Eanes said that you can even beat up on the ditzy Marcus Brody if you wish. Also, be sure to keep your eyes out for the (in)famous chilled monkey brain dessert from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
