Ubisoft to bring Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword to Europe, ETA June 2008
Ever wondered just when Tecmo‘s Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword will be making its way into Europe? Well, wonder no more, as we’ve just received word from Ubisoft that they’ll be the one to provide the transition, and European Nintendo DS owners will be getting their chance to rip it up as Ryu real soon. All the details in the full article.
While we can all agree that Europe almost always gets the short end of the stick when it comes to game release dates, it’s definitely good that we can depend on companies like Ubisoft to provide the transition. Such is the case with Tecmo‘s Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword, and how Ubisoft has picked up this touchscreen-slashing title for release in Europe.
For those of us not yet in the know about this particular title, here’s a brief backgrounder: it tells of the story of Ryu Hayabusa and his quest to rescue a fellow ninja from the clutches of evil. And yes, this game is everything a Ninja Gaiden title should be – breakneck slashing action and Ninpo casting intact. This is through clever use of the game’s touchscreen, where players can directly input slashes, shuriken throws and Izuna Drops with a swipe, poke and rub of the stylus.
So, we know that Ubisoft is bring Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword to Europe. When? June 2008, which isn’t really that far off if we think about it. Here’s hoping, however, that it gets pushed forward a tad. Updates as we get them.
