Wii firmware update now live
Heads up, Nintendo Wii owners! A new firmware update now available for download, and it could be as hefty as the previous IOS37 version. There’s no changelog available, but you can learn more by heading over to the full article.
Nintendo Wii owners would do themselves justice by hooking up their consoles to the Internet, because an update following IOS37 is now online. No changelogs are available as of now, but many users report that the patch addresses minor issues and security flaws to improve your experience.
According to early adopters of the sneaky update, Wii homebrew enthusiasts need not worry because the Twilight Princess hack is still running. The Wii channel interface version is still locked to 3.2U, making it difficult to detect other changes.
While there are some claims saying the patch doesn’t extend to Europe, the British Broadcasting Corporation’s (BBC) iPlayer is scheduled to launch this April 9 on the Wii so license-fee payers who own the console in the UK might want to check it.
We’re all eyes on any changelogs or solid details pertaining to the update, and we’ll make sure to keep you posted. If you notice anything new with your Wii, don’t forget to inform everyone through comments!
