From April 28, 2008 to May 7, 2008, you guys can participate and reap the rewards of the event. All you have to do is get a special wooden katana, known as ibushi shinai, from any Moogle located in Southern San d’Oria, Northern San d’Oria, Bastok Mines, Bastok Markets, Windurst Waters, and Port Windurst.

After equipping the sword, get a special enchantment from any of the nomad Moogles in the following areas:

  • West Ronfaure
  • East Ronfaure
  • La Theine Plateau
  • Jugner Forest
  • Batallia Downs
  • North Gustaberg
  • South Gustaberg

  • Pashhow Marshlands
  • Rolanberry Fields
  • West Sarutabaruta
  • East Sarutabaruta
  • Tahrongi Canyon

Defeat thieves roaming in the world of Vana’diel. Upon doing so, you can absorb their weapon skill, increasing your chances of finding great treasure. To get it, all you have to do is thrust the katana into the “???” spot after defeating them. You might have a chance of getting a rare relic in the process.

Just do take note of the limitations of this event: 1) The Moogle enchantment will increase movement speed but will lower your level to 1. 2) All equipment above level 2 will be removed. 3) You won’t be able to attack regular monsters and vice-versa. 4) The special buff will be removed once your leave the area or log out from the game.
