QuakeCon 2008 to be held in Dallas, registrations now open
QuakeCon is back this 2008! Spurred by the success of last year’s conference, QuakeCon will again host a string of events in Dallas, Texas. Who knows what announcement id Software will bring us this time? And most importantly, when will this event take place? Get more details of QuakeCon 2008 over the full article.
If you enjoyed last year’s Quake Con from id Software, well, it’s coming back this 2008. Same time (almost), same place: July 31 to August 3, 2008, Hilton Anatole Hotel, Dallas, Texas.
Lucky you because the date and the venue are not the only common things for this year’s QuakeCon. What will QuakeCon 2008 be without free admission and North America’s largest BYOC LAN party?
Never heard of BYOC? It’s short for Bring-Your-Own-Computer. QuakeCon has had a tradition of gathering computers to take part in highly competitive tournaments. If you want to participate in the BYOC area, you can register starting on April 30 at 9PM ET at www.quakecon.org. Not only that, around sixty companies will also be making exhibits of their latest offerings.
As early as now you can already reserve a room for Hilton Anatole hotel. Last year, several announcements were made at QuakeCon, from Orcs and Elves and Rage to the Tech 5 engine. So who knows what’s in store for us this year?
