Thanks to strong sales of Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G in Japan, the PSP is still going strong on the hardware charts and is now spending its fifth week on top. How did the other platforms do? Find out in the full article.
Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G may have been ousted by Mario Kart Wii in Japan, but the game is still going strong. Thanks to this, PSP sales still continue to outperform all the other platforms for the fifth week running.
While the Sony handheld may not be performing as well as it did when Monster Hunter first debuted, it doesn’t look like it’s going to lose its momentum any time soon. Here are hardware sales numbers in Japan for the week ending on April 20:
- PSP: 85,421
- DS Lite: 44,551
- Wii: 44,241
- PS3: 7,438
- PS2: 6,545
- Xbox 360: 1,076
