SCEI announces new PSP headset with remote

Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. has announced through a press release that it will release a new headset for the PlayStation Portable handheld. This new one will come with a remote control for more ease of use.
SCEI says the new accessory will be released in Japan on June 19th, 2008. It’ll cost 3,800yen including tax (about US$ 36).
The headset with remote will be compatible with the handheld’s Skype capabilities and other functions that need a microphone. Controls for playing music and video will also be sported for added ease of use.
The new headset will be primarily compatible with the PSP Slim & Lite, but SCEI says the “headset can be used for PSP-1000 in combination with PSP-1000 series remote control.”
