Flagship Studios releases Hellgate: London Underground Communique Issue 5
In the story of Hellgate: London, survivors often relayed messages to each other via communiques. Metagaming-wise, Flagship Studios is doing the same with players of the game. In fact, the developer has recently released Underground Communique number 5. More on this weekly update in the full article after the jump.
Whether you’re fighting a war against demons or running a game for players, it’s important to keep the lines of communication open. In line with that principle, Flagship Studios has released issue 5 of the weekly Hellgate: London wrap-up known as the Underground Communique.
This is the lowdown of the week of May 5, according to Flagship Studios:
- Max Schaefer speaks about the action RPG genre. The Flagship Studios co-founder and COO discussed the passion that fans have for the Diablo series of games.
- Hellgate: London Patch 1.3 was patched due to bugs. Patch 1.3a addressed those issues and resulted in the return of lost mail, items and palladium to players.
- The Test Center Database was restored. Ping0 was able to use a backup database of the Test Center to restore disappearing characters. Investigations are underway.
- EU Sydonai server subscribers now receive benefits on the Test Center, thanks to Patch 1.3b. This option was previously available only to Shulgoth server players.
- Flagship Studios previews Patch 2: The Abyss Chronicles. The Patch will reportedly feature new bosses, new class skills, new monsters and new weapons.
- Evan “Scrapes” Berman is preparing for a vacation to Kyoto, Japan. He has spent the last week capturing footage and editing videos for both Hellgate: London and Mythos.
That’s it for the week of May 5, as far as Hellgate: London goes. Flagship Studios will likely continue keeping players updated, so stay tuned for more Underground Communiques in the near future.
