Who can ever forget Xbox Live Arcade developer The Behemoth and its highly celebrated action platformer project, Castle Crashers? Well, guess what? Those of you who’ve been keeping an eye on it will be ecstatic to find out that the development phase of the game is finally complete.

Game designer Dan Paladin recently announced that the finishing touches on Castle Crashers were finally in place and that the game should be out pretty soon. He was proud to say that the game will undoubtedly be the largest XBLA game in terms of both unlockable content and gameplay once it’s published.

Don’t expect this game to be out by the time you finish reading this article though. Paladin explained that Castle Crashers will still have to go through the usual testing and certification processes before it goes live on the XBLA service. While there was no mention of an exact release date for the game, he noted that this may take “a couple of months at the very least from this point.”

Paladin went out of his way to thank all the people who worked on the project, as well as the many fans who’ve contributed in their own way. He mentioned that the Castle Crashers team will still be making regular updates to their devblog, so we expect that this won’t be the last we’ll be hearing from the “castle crashing” developer.
