LuaPlayerHM7 RC1 – added new functions, flash web browser support
The newly formed LuaPlayerHM Team of homemister and PiCkDaT recently released a new build to the PlayStation Portable homebrew app, LuaPlayerHM7 RC1. The new iteration to this highly useful program includes a host of new functions and convenient features which definitely improves on the previous build. Aside from picking up a new team member to work on the homebrew app LuaPlayerHM7, developer homemister (now working in collaboration with PiCkDaT) has released a new iteration to this highly useful program for the PlayStation Portable. LuaPlayerHM7 RC1 includes a host of new functions and convenient features which definitely improves on the previous build.
Here’s a list of the changes that were included in the current version of LuaPlayerHM:
- Allows you to browse the web. You do not need to start Wlan.init()
- To use just load using System.runeboot(“path of web browser”) or System.webbrowser(path,url)
- It will automatically return to LuaPlayerHM6.9Beta if in the same directory as the LuaPlayerHM eboot.pbp *A must*.
- The web browser now has flash support. it is the exact same as the official browser.
You can find the complete list of all the new functions by reading the features.txt list found in the file bundle. The documentation also explains how you can install it on your PSP, so please make sure to read it before copy any files into your handheld.
*Note*: homemister wants to inform those who want to download LuaPlayerHM7 RC1 that this release – as well as future RC and Beta releases – is for Lua developers only. LuaPlayerHM RC and Beta releases are not yet ready for full use and may inadvertently render your PSP useless.
