Homebrew developer nlxx has just rolled out a new application for the Wii called the MiniMP3 Player. This basic MP3 player was written in C using devkitPro r15, LibOGC, and GRRLIB.
Despite the description as being basic, MiniMP3 boasts of both Wiimote and FrontSD support. According to the entry on the Wiibrew.org website, using the application is as simple as putting MP3s into a folder called “MP3” (without quotes) into the SC Card’s root directory and running the application.
If you’re not too familiar with running homebrew on the Wii but plan on trying this one out, you might want to do some research on how to install and run apps on the console since the program doesn’t come with any documentation.
