More details on this news are available in the full article. We thank reader Sunjon for this news tip.
Well, you probably saw this coming last month, but at least Ready at Dawn has now made it official (we thank Sunjon for the tip). The developer has announced that in light of God of War: Chains of Olympus‘ upcoming launch in Japan, they are now closing the book on their PSP dev plans. Quoting the studio’s official post:
With Chains of Olympus going Gold in Japan (やったー!!ビッチズ!), weÂ’re now officially done with PSP development.
So today we sent all our devkits back and seeing all these boxes ready to be picked up definitely marks the end of an era here at Ready At Dawn.
CanÂ’t wait to show you guys what we have in storeÂ….
As some of you may recall, creative director Ru Weerasuriya previously discussed some of the reasons behind Ready at Dawn’s decision. One reason was the studio’s focus on two specific platforms – the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It’s anybody’s guess at this point regarding what they’re up to, though we’ll let you know if we receive any more updates regarding this matter.
