PSP Battery Charger Recalled
One of PSP’s accessories called the Pelican Power Brick battery charger ,which is not an official accessory of Sony, is being recalled because of a potential overheating problem. This charger gets got enough to cause the battery’s plastic to melt and even pose as a fire threat. The Power Brick is comprised of two lithium-ion batteries mounted on plastic housing and connected via circuit board. The battery cells are charged when plugged into an electrical outlet using the PSP AC adaptor. Once charged, it is used to recharge the PSP.
This was sold 20 USD each and during that time there were over 140 reports of it overheating and one reported a fire case. It is recommended for the owners of the product to stop using it and contacting the manufacturer to receive a choice of several replacement products.
All I have to say is just wow, this is far greater than the xbox 360 overheating issues.
