Japan: MGS4 steps down for Taisen Wars, PSP still on top
Like in the UK, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots has yielded its place after only a week on top spot in the Japan software charts. Gunning its way on top is Super Robot Taisen Advance Portable. What other games are popular in Japan right now? Check out the full list after the “read more” link below.
After a brief one-week run on top of the Japanese charts, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots has stepped down in favor of the PSP game, Super Robot Taisen Advance Portable. It’s brief stay on top of the charts echoes the game’s sales in Europe, where it also yielded after only a week on top.
New this week in the Japan charts in Mario Super Sluggers, otherwise known as Super Mario Stadium: Family Baseball in Japan. It’s a surprisingly mediocre entry considering Japan’s love for Mario games on the Wii. Here are the rest of the top games in Japan for the week ending on June 22.
- Super Robot Taisen A Portable
- Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
- Super Mario Stadium: Family Baseball
