Rumor: Xbox 360 to get new Dashboard interface in Spring Update
According to a certain rumor that is floating around the Internet tubes, the Xbox 360 Spring Update will include a new secondary Dashboard interface that isn’t anything like the dashboard we know and love (to some extent). Apparently, this optional interface will be rendered in 3D, and yes, will use the oft-rumored motion-sensing device. More details in the full article.
Remember the rumored list of features that will be applied on the upcoming Spring Update, the one that supposedly includes calibration options for a certain mysterious motion-sensing device? Well, here’s another related tidbit: apparently, Microsoft is planning to add an optional Xbox 360 dashboard overhaul, and it’s going to be quite a revamp.
So how big is this update? According to Kotaku’s sources, this optional dashboard interface will be in 3D, and will use the oft-mentioned rumored motion controls to somehow slide around the “floating” menu.
It certainly sounds like the dashboard will certainly go futuristic this time around; but if this piece of gossip turn out to be true, then we’re somehow glad that Microsoft will be keeping the current Dashboard interface instead of entirely replacing it with the grandspanking’ new motion-sensing menu.
The idea sounds spiffy enough and worth looking into, but will this curb the dashboard’s current tendency to be a little too cluttered at times? Updates as we get them.
