Legend of Zelda Portable Adventures Alpha 4 – rupees, chests added
The homebrewed version of Link’s Adventures, The Legend of Zelda Adventures (previous version here), is now on Alpha 4 version. The developer, dan369, says that the game is actually out of Alpha, however, so we can call it Legend of Zelda Portable Adventures Beta. What are the new features included in this release? Homebrew developer dan369 is back with the latest version of his Legend of Zelda Portable Adventures, now on Alpha 4 (previous release here). There are no screenshots taken from the newest release, but the developer has done a lot of coding, with most (if not all) of the sound and animation bugs eradicated.
Features added in this release include Rupees, and as soon as dan369 is done with ironing out the kinks in the analog the new shop interface will be added as well. Chests are now in Legend of Zelda Portable Adventures; like the games the homebrew is based on, players only need to make their character stand near the chests and press the triangle (action) button to open them.
The newly-added Chests feature is a work-in-progress and isn’t fully compatible yet, so players of this homebrew may experience some bug when trying to open them.
The game now sounds pretty promising, but look at what the developer has in store for the future releases:
- more levels
- analog support
- new AI engine
