It looks like Capcom will be releasing a patch to fix the numerous freezing problems spotted in the open beta release of Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix after all. Capcom reversed its previous decision to release any patches due to incurring costs and gave the Street Fighter fans something to celebrate about. More details on this announcement can be found in our full article.
It seems like Capcom has finally caved in to the pressure from Street Fighter fans demanding for a patch to the open beta release of Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. Capcom’s JimmyRey recently announced that several fixes for the open beta will soon be implemented, with additional details to follow shortly after.
The game’s beta access was originally packaged as a special bonus for those who bought Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3. However, it was a huge disappointment for many who soon realized that the game was fraught with numerous freezing problems and other bugs.
Thankfully, Capcom realized the need for a fix and promised a patch will be forthcoming. Here’s a quote taken from JimmyRey from his blog on the Capcom site:
Just wanted to drop everyone a line that we’re working on a patch and it will have several fixes for the open beta. I’ll be dropping details shortly, but the overall experience in the beta will be vastly improved.
