Rumor: iPhone Firmware v2.2 goes live next week?
Oooh, ready for the latest iPhone Firmware v2.2, are we? Yeah you better be. While we still have to get confirmation of that rumored features list (e.g.over-the-air podcast updates and a whole slew of added functionality to the Maps application), here’s something equally cool: according to the iPhoneHellas website, the new firmware will go live come Friday of next week: November 21. Why, that’s just a few days away from now!

If sources are to be believed, we might get over-the-air podcast updates (see screenshot) and a whole slew of added functionality to the Maps application (share location, public transport info, pedestrian directions, etc.).
While we still have to get confirmation of that rumored features list (i.e. changelog), here’s something equally cool: according to – in Gizmodo‘s words – “consistently reliable website” iPhoneHellas, the new firmware will go live come Friday of next week: November 21. Why, that’s just a few days away from now!
Some speculate that even if that rumored changelog was already revealed, Apple might be able to sneak in some additional features too – kinda like with what happened with the undocumented additions that came with FW 2.1.
