MTV Game Awards 2008: Hideo Kojima receives Lifetime Achievement Award
The MTV Game Awards 2008 has wrapped up and you wouldn’t guess which one got the Game of the Year award. Come on, guess. Grand Theft Auto 4? Natch. This year they also gave their first ever Lifetime Achievement Game Award to Hideo Kojima. Well and truly deserved.

This year MTV also gave their first ever Lifetime Achievement Game Award to Hideo Kojima for the Metal Gear series. Well and truly deserved. They even got Jade Raymond to hand over the trophy. After receiving the trophy, Kojima took the opportunity to say “I will not retire. I will continue to create games as long as I live.”
