Confirmed: SOCOM Confrontation confronts delay in Europe

Oh dear. While everyone else in North America is having fun in SOCOM: Confrontation for about a month now, gamers in Europe draw the short stick once again. As it was, they’ve already been scheduled as the last region to get Confrontantion (supposed to be released this Friday already). However, in some last minute sniping maneuvers, that release date just got pwned.
Confirming a previous rumor, a spokesperson today contacted Eurogamer that SOCOM: Confrontation will instead head out to European retail sometime “early 2009”. And why is that? *Shrug* They didn’t give any reason for the delay.
For the eager fans waiting in Europe, it could be that some issues and bugs already reported about in the North American version may be fixed upon the delayed release. And who knows? That “Join a game from a friends or clan list” feature might eventually see the light of day.
