VGA updates: Dante’s Inferno confirmed, Fight Night Round 4 coming next summer

The 2008 SpikeTV Video Game Awards played host to a couple of new announcements from Electronic Arts about two of their upcoming titles: Dante’s Inferno and Fight Night Round 4. Hit the jump for details.

Electronic Arts‘ mysterious new project called Dante’s Inferno has just been confirmed during the Spike TV VGAs today. No target consoles or even a tentative date were mentioned though.

The confirmation was made by Kim Kardashian, who reportedly described the game as “based on a book or something”. Okay. I honestly still have no idea how they’re going to tackle this project. Nevertheless, it’s certainly got my interest piqued.

In other EA news, Fight Night Round 4 was announced to be slated for a Summer 2009 release. The fourth entry in the popular boxing series will be available on PS3 and Xbox 360.
