Lord of the Rings: Conquest battle gameplay video
I’ve been raving about it in the past for some time now: the prospect of getting to play as an Ent in LotR: Conquest is totally going to pwn. And now we have a quick clip showing Ent gameplay too! (Yeah, obliterate that siege tower, why don’t you?) But more than that, the video in the full article shows a collection of battle gameplay clips and a couple other interesting things, like seeing how real grown-up wizards (i.e. Gandalf and Saruman) have a wizard duel: who needs magic spells when you can whack each other silly with your staves?
I’ve been raving about it in the past for some time now: getting to play as an Ent in LotR: Conquest is totally going to pwn. And now we have a quick clip showing Ent gameplay too! (Yeah, obliterate that siege tower, why don’t you?) But more than that, the video you see below shows a collection of battle gameplay clips and a couple other interesting things:
- Gandalf and Saruman show how wizards have a catfight: forget spells, whack each other with staves instead!
- Hack-and-slash survival tip #47: that flaming sword swing is an effectively cheap move against a swarm of enemies.
- Arrows will always, always, always leave a jetstream in its wake.
- Learn how to face off with a huge Balrog on a narrow bridge, carrying only a sharp toothpick and a stick.
- Probably because of your warrior’s adrenaline rush, there is no such thing as the push of water currents in rivers: doing battle right on the brink of a waterfall will not cause you a watery grave below.
Pandemic Studios‘ Lord of the Rings: Conquest for the PS3, Xbox 360, PC, and DS will be available on January.
