CES 2009: Microsoft previews new Xbox Live game, Boku
Though definitely not as cute as LittleBigPlanet, Microsoft‘s new Xbox Live “creative playground” game Kodu promises to have its own charms. Microsoft previewed Kodu at the ongoing CES – watch a clip of the show after the link.
Though definitely not as cute as LittleBigPlanet, Microsoft‘s new Xbox Live “creative playground” game Kodu promises to have its own charms. Microsoft previewed Kodu at the ongoing CES, even pulling a 12-year-old girl to the stage to demonstrate how easy the game is to play. It’s pretty cool, like a create-your-own Lego world.
The game, formerly known as Boku, basically allows you to build your own world, or even create your own game. It has 200 different game-creation building blocks, but the PR promises it to be a simple pick-up-and-play game for anyone from ages 7 to 70.
It looks fun, though I’m not entirely sure just how much fun it’ll be. If all you do is create worlds and run around, I’ll stick to SimCity.
