GPS support for the PSP in North America has been a long time coming, but a report from CES 2009 says that the device is still on track for a release this year. No date or price details have been released, and no press release has been sent since CES, so for now, we’ll have to tag this as rumor.
It’s been months since we last heard of it, and it’s been available in Japan and Europe for a while now (years). Anyone still hyped up about it? It’s been way too long since the product was first revealed that I find I have a hard time getting excited over it again. This isn’t to mention that the homebrew community has MapThis and PSP-Maps.
I’m still looking forward to the release, even if I’m not overly hyped up about it. The gadget’s an amazing device that allows 2D and 3D maps, and also provides directions to get to places. Last we heard, Sony was also looking to release GPS games after the product is released.
