WiiZii: plug and play mod that lets you connect an HDD to your Wii
Team Matrix (I hear they’re old hands at PS2 modding) is reportedly working on delivering a solution for the storage problems that a lot of Wii owners have complained about since Nintendo isn’t really doing anything concrete about it yet. The solution here is called WiiZii, a plug and play mod that lets you connect an external HDD via SATA to your Wii.

The solution here is called WiiZii, a plug and play mod that lets you connect an external HDD via SATA to your Wii. This is supposed to open the way to “super quick loading” of game backups and homebrew apps by way of a menu. If this works with Virtual Console games then I’m definitely sold.
WiiZii also comes with 2MB of on-board memory and an updateable firmware. Word is that it also works on all Wii versions. Check out the pic for a look at the prototype. The final product will be much smaller.
