Mai-HiME’s PSP Takeover
They have invaded our TV Screens last year. Now they’re invading our PSP! The girls of the anime series Mai-HiME are showing their HiME skills in their PSP game proudly named “Mai-HiME: Senretsu”. The title of the game can be translated as “Vividness”. So what has Sunrise interactive has in store for us Mai-HiME fans?
Well, the game takes on a fighting module, something that remains faithful to the series. You will utilize the girl’s HiME powers in order to defeat your opponent. HiMe stands for Highly-Advanced Materializing Equipment, an ability innate to the girls allowing them to make anything out of photons. You get to explore the characteristics of the girls as they go into battles within the academy. An intensive action game, this is definitely for those who love their game girls in their school uniform. However, the press release of the game talks beyond that of the fighting module but rather your ability to let your character change costumes. You can have the standard costume, a kimono costume, and even a cosplay costume. Fans of the series will certainly nosebleed once they see lovely Mai in her swimsuit uniform. A fanservice of a game which hopefully does not upset its fans.
A special event will be held in Japan just for the release of this game. From April 14 to 23, the Cure Maid Store in Akihabara will serve up coffee and take orders of the game while cosplaying the costumes featured in the game. Yes, they’d be wearing those costumes you see in the screencaps! The game will be released on April 27 in Japan.
