PSP homebrew – iR Shell v4.91 update for frame rate and sound on TV mode
Just when you thought that Sunday news has gotten slow and everything’s gone Super Bowl. Now for some real news. Well, just a minor update for AhMan‘s iR Shell, and this one’s for Slim owners only. Phat users don’t need to bother with this one, since it’s only for the Slim’s TV out capabilities. Changelog in the full article.

Just when you thought that Sunday news has gotten slow and everything’s gone Super Bowl. Now for some real news. Well, just a minor update for AhMan‘s iR Shell, and this one’s for Slim owners only. Phat users don’t need to install this update, since it’s only for the Slim’s TV out capabilities.
You’ll need to merge this update with the current v4.9. If you still don’t have v4.9, then download it here on QJ through the related article link below.
iR Shell v4.91 Changes:
- For interlaced TV, some games have low frame rate. This is now fixed.
- For interlaced TV, some games have stuttered sound output. Most of them should now be fixed. If you still encounter stuttered sound for a specific game, you can try to increase the value of “Interlace TV Thread Priority” in iR Configurator. The higher the value, the lower the priority the thread will run and it will give more CPU time to the game which will help with the stuttered sound. You shouldn’t lower this value, unless you know exactly what you’re doing. The default value is 0 (same as setting the value to 21) which will work for most games.
