Some of the levels look familiar, yeah? Well, it isn’t called “Tribute” for nothing!
The info on the Famitsu article was rather sparse. It only revealed that the game will play out on full 1080p HD resolution, and bring with it a new visual style. We can see that in the trailer: the game’s getting some cel-shaded graphics!
Another new aspect I noticed in the trailer is a creation aspect! Instead of rolling stuff up into your katamari (yeah, cause some destruction and pandemonium along the way), there seems to be a level where you get to fill the world with flowers and grass and all manner of greenery as you roll along!
As you can see from the trailer, they list the soundtrack of the game (woot for “Lonely Rolling Star” again!). The game is said to have PSN support, but Namco Bandai hasn’t spilled everything about that yet.
