MCR’s Gerard Way and Boowy’s Himuro team up for FFVII: Advent Children Complete soundtrack
Square Enix has imported the services of Gerard Way from American rock band My Chemical Romance to team up with Japan‘s legendary rocker, Kyosuke Himuro (of Boøwy). This is to churn out gut-wrenching, tear-duct squeezing music for the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete. Hold the heavy, black eyeliners please.

It is said that Tetsuya Nomura of Squeenix is a big fan of the band Boøwy. In fact, this is not the first time that Himuro’s music will be used as a soundtrack for a Final Fantasy project. In 2005, his “Calling” track from the 1989 Neo Fascio album was included in the movie.
Now we’ve got the final product of this collaboration: Safe and Sound. Lyrics penned by Way. Listen to it at the link provided below. You’d want to click on the “Trailer” tab, by the way. Seriously, it’s rockin’.
