Having sold over 23 million copies worldwide, Gold and Silver have apparently decided that they have not caught-’em-all, so they’re suiting up for one more hurrah, much like what happened with Fire Red and Leaf Green. The remakes, named Pokemon Heart Gold and Pokemon Soul Silver, will be making their way to the Nintendo DS as part of the franchise’s tenth anniversary.

As far as release dates go, this one’s expected to drop in by Autumn 2010. The remakes will, of course, have features that the originals do not. I can already see the DS flying out of the shelves for this one.
