Sony: “Non-gaming apps” welcome on PSP Go
Downloadable games, music and videos won’t be the only things you can fill your PSP Go with. The door has also been opened to non-gaming apps thanks to the price reduction on the PSP SDK. Details after the jump.

“The goal with that is to enable all sorts of developers to be able to develop content for the PSP,” said SCEA‘s Al de Leon in a video interview with CNET. “ItÂ’ll mostly be games but thereÂ’s certainly an opportunity to develop non-gaming applications.”
There was a rumor a while back about some non-retail games and apps that were supposed to be announced at this August’s Gamescom. Maybe there was some truth to that after all. What I’m really looking forward to seeing however is the lower SDK price’s effect on indie games. I hope to see a few good ones on this rumored PSP app store in the future.
