Sega‘s teasing something new with an interactive countdown site and a whole lot of balls. “Interactive” because the timer doesn’t even show the countdown automatically. You have to click on a lever to get the number to change. Good one, Sega. Make ’em work for it!

Some intrepid visitors have already checked the site’s source code and noted that at different times, the source has contained the words “nights”, “sonic“, and “supermonkeyball.” It was blank when I first checked it but “sonic” appeared the second time around.
The countdown ends just under five days. Any ideas, fellas?
