Square Enix: Star Ocean: The Last Hope PS3 listing was an error
I imagine that quite a few PS3 owners grew hopeful when a PS3 version of Star Ocean: The Last Hope was spotted on GameFly a couple of days back. Is the Xbox 360 exclusive JRPG finally crossing over to the Sony console? Square Enix says it was all a mistake.

Square Enix reps say that the GameFly listing was nothing but an error. Of course, the hardcore hopeful can still hold on to this interestingly phrased statement about plans for a PS3 version of the game: “We cannot comment on a PS3 release at this time.” So when’s the right time? TGS?
The reps also said that the GameFly listing has since been taken down, but when I checked while writing this post it was still there although searching for it doesn’t yield any results. GameFly, on the other hand, seems to stand by the listing, saying that they “simply post information as it is supplied to [them] by publishers.”
