PS3 finally gets some zombie action with Dead Nation
So Valve won’t take Left 4 Dead to the PS3, huh? Zombie-lovers, it’s alright. There’s something else in store for you, and it’s got just as much – if not more – adorable undeads for you to slay. Sony‘s just announced at GamesCom 2009 that they have an alternative offering for zombie-shooting fans, and it’s just as satisfying. Ladies and gents, please welcome Dead Nation.

This game is developed by Housemarque and will reportedly be coming out as a PSN exclusive soon. It’s also been compared to Hunter: The Reckoning, in the sense that you have you have truckloads of zombies coming out on the screen.
What did make me stop, however, was the description that it is an overhead, 3D shooter. Just how over the head is this “overhead”? Here, let’s see how the action rolls in the clip below:
The Pulp Fiction-ish track was cool, but am holding back on the overhead shot. It just doesn’t feel that much of a zombie game when your vantage point is that far away. And did you see that Boomer look-alike? I’m missing my Special L4D Infecteds already.
But hey, that’s just me. Maybe you liked it more? I mean, it’s okay. It does look fun, only, from a very far point of view. Meh. Share your comments below.
