You totally saw this coming: Modern Warfare 2 street date broken
The official launch of Modern Warfare 2 is only a couple of snoozes away, but apparently, it just can’t wait. Another game has its street date broken again, frustrating people who haven’t gotten in on those early purchases. One retailer raking in the dough out of this whole deal is GameStop, whose outlets in the Northeastern states have started selling Modern Warfare 2.

Kotaku reports that GameStops in New York, Pennsylvania, and Ohio have already begun selling the game. According to a GameStop employee from Bowling Green, Ohio, Activision actually gave them special permission to start selling early in order to win customers back from street-breaking mom-and-pop stores. Some have reported that they have received copies as early as last week.
Modern Warfare 2 is (apparently) available now (in some areas) for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. But you’ve probably known that for a few days, yes?
