Similar to when Modern Warfare ditched the World War II setting, Medal of Honor will move the action to Afghanistan. The game introduces players to the Tier 1 Operator: a shadowy entity who takes care of the missions no one else can handle. I bet his nickname’s “One Man Army”.

EALA has been tasked with developing the game with multiplayer input from EA’s DICE studio. The presence of the Operator suggests a heavy emphasis on the single-player campaign, which EA describes as “best-in-class.”

All Medal of Honor has in the way of a release date is a very vague 2010 window. You can check out the game’s world premiere during Spike TV’s 2009 Video Game Awards next week, December 12 at 8PM PST. The game’s set for release on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
