Wealthier households more likely to get movie-based video games

Now who’d want to waste their money on shovelware? Those who can.

According to a survey conducted by market research firm, Nielsen, households that do buy movie-based games tend to be of some wealth, averaging at the US$ 70,000 a year bracket. Having kids aged 6-12 also contributes to the likelihood of purchase.

 

Additionally, the survey also found that more non-Caucasians, particularly Asians and Hispanics, were also more inclined to purchase the games.

 

Well, they’ve got the extra cash, don’t they? To each his own.
