DigiTimes reports that according to their sources, OmniVision has secured a deal to deliver 5-megapixel cameras for the next iPhone, rumored to be released in the latter half of 2010. That’s a nice bump up from the 3.2-megapixel cameras in the 3GS, which is also from OmniVision.
Earlier in the year there was some talk about a CDMA chip-carrying Verizon iPhone from Apple. Maybe this is it? Hopefully we’ll hear more during Apple’s yearly Worldwide Developers Conference, which expected to be held in June.
