XBox DVD Adapter – Revealed At Last!
Although its still being tested, one talented amateur has succeeded in building a DVD adapter for the beloved XBox.
Using a Hitachi LG DVD drive, the hacker – who goes by the handle of “WunSick” – has provided some diagrams and instructions on the Devo-E website, which should be understandable by newbies and pros alike. He describes the device as “dirty wiring,” but adds triumphantly, “It worked!”
The bill of materials is fairly short. Other than the actual DVD drive, one should not require a great deal of money for this project:

– Voltage regualtor- 1086V33
– 20-22 gauge mall wire
– A small PC board
– A small heatsink
– An original XBox power connector
