Hellgate: London getting another chance
Following creator Flagship Studios’ shutdown, it was left to live on as a free-to-play MMO in Korea. Korean game publisher HanbitSoft, however, is apparently going to try bringing Hellgate: London to a worldwide audience again.
Any of you remember Hellgate: London? It was a dark fantasy themed action role-playing game developed and released by Flagship Studios back in 2007. Players hacked and slashed their way across a post-apocalyptic London overrun by demons.
Following creator Flagship Studios’ shutdown, it was left to live on as a free-to-play MMO in Korea. Korean game publisher HanbitSoft, however, is apparently going to try bringing Hellgate: London to a worldwide audience again. In line with their plans to ressurect the game, Hanbitsoft has renamed Hellgate: London to Hellgate: Resurrection.
HanbitSoft plans to roll out the game first in first in China, Taiwan, and South East Asia, followed by North America, Europe, and Japan. The company didn’t provide any timeframes, however.
