Modern Warfare 2 PC patched, console patches being tested
Infinity Ward has released a new patch for the PC version of Modern Warfare 2. This one includes fixes for collision detection and some hacks, among other things. Some of the fixes will also be introduced to the game’s PS3 and Xbox 360 versions at a later date.
Infinity Ward has released a new patch for the PC version of Modern Warfare 2. This one includes fixes for collision detection and some hacks, among other things.
Here’s the list of fixes. Unless otherwise noted, these patches will also be introduced to the game’s PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. According to IW’s Robert Bowling, patches for the console versions are currently undergoing testing.
- Care Package, Emergency Airdrop, and Sentry Gun marker grenades sprint speed normalized.
- Sentry Guns: Improved placement detection, preventing cases of Sentry Guns inside geometry.
- Model 1887: Bling using Akimbo and FMJ combination now has same range and damage as non-Bling Model 1887s.
- Improved player collision removing cases of getting into geometry and ‘elevators’.
- Mouse latency tweaks for more mouse movement consistency. (PC-ONLY)
- Fixes to prevent various texture (PC-ONLY) and XP hacks, including the prevention of obtaining negative XP.
